The representatives of Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry were met with a room full of students and teachers in the "Dimitar A. Tsenov" Academy of Economics as they carried out an information event on cross-border labor mobility issues.
The VISA Agency councillors Desislava Pencheva and Georgi Georgiev talked about the career development and recruitment services provided by the neighboring country. They showed the Agency's promotional movie and demonstrated the functionality of the specialized website jobsvisa.eu, through which the services can be used and applied for.
During the meeting, video conferencing was made with the Association of sustainable development in Slatina, Romania, where there was also an event going on at the same time for human resource development experts, education experts, representatives of SMEs and citizens.
The participants in Svishtov and Slatina had the opportunity to ask each other questions about the labour market in Bulgaria and Romania and receive competent answers. Among the discussed topics were the minimum and average salary in both countries, the special conditions in some economic sectors, social securities, demand for economists, the requirements of employers towards foreign employees etc.
The information events were conducted within project „VISA - Cross-border Labour Mobility Agency“, financed by Programme Interreg V-A Romania–Bulgaria, which is implemented by Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its partner - the Association for Sustainable Development in Slatina.
