According to a recently adopted change in the Romanian Labour Code, candidates for employees could receive help from a lawyer or a labour law expert during the negotiations for concluding an individual employment contract, as wel as during the renogotiations for an already existing one.

Until now, the law also provided that the employee may be accompanied by third parties, but it didn't specify their type, as well as what their professional qualifications could be

Besides an external consultant-labour law specialist, the employee may also be accompanied by a representative of the labour union, which he is a member of (if he is a member of one).
