The amount of the state support will be equal to 60% of the social security income and 60% of the social security contributions due by the employer for the month of August 2020, as decided by the Bulgarian government.

Because of the slow recovery of the economy from the imposed obligatory measures and possible continued spread of COVID-19 in Bulgaria, the deadline for the payment of compensations to employers for keeping their employees' jobs is postponed from October 1st to December 31st, 2020. Financial aid for preserving the employment under the easier consitions, defined for the „Hotel and restaurant“ sector, can be paid to workers and employees, engaged in the field of transport. The amount needed for the extension of the measure will be provided by the "Unemployment" fund of the state social insurance.
