The project, which made possible the establishment of the Visa Agency, has a total budget of EUR 498 818, the main part of which is provided by the European program INTERREG VA Romania - Bulgaria (85%), it is also supported by the state budgets of Bulgaria and Romania (13%) and is co-financed by the partners themselves.
The Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Program is implemented in 2014-2020 by funding projects in the following priority axes:
- A well connected region
- A green region
- A safe region
- A skilled and inclusive region
- An efficient region
